Overview

This webinar is designed to teach participants how to effectively include Project Outcome in the library planning process as it relates to strategic goals, decision-making, and program evaluation. The outcome measurement process involves four key steps: 1) Set Goals, 2) Measure Outcomes, 3) Review Results, and 4) Take Action. While this webinar will cover all four outcome measurement steps, the focus will be on step 1, which includes setting goals based on community needs and identifying responsive library services to measure based on those goals. This webinar will review common scenarios demonstrating how Project Outcome can be included in the planning process and will include real-life planning examples from Skokie (Ill.) Public Library. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas.

Takeaways

At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will:

  • Understand how Project Outcome fits into the planning process;
  • Be able to identify goals based on library and community-wide priorities;
  • Know how to select programs and services to measure and choose the appropriate Project Outcome surveys; and
  • Be able to identify strategies for reviewing results and taking action based on results.
